Title: SAN Engineer *Location: **Garden City, NY* *Duration: 6** months + * *Start Date: **January 5, 2009 * *Rate: $65-70/Hr C2C* *Description: * The Engineer meets with Project Managers and business units to gather storage requirements based on the application and project needs and forecasts. These requirements are then assessed, along with service level agreements, to allow proper configuration of storage amongst tiered arrays. Day-to-day responsibilities include storage management, storage area network (SAN) management, creates and reclaims devices, analyzes and corrects information management and storage business partner control center errors and messages, creates documentation on environments created and maintained, and plans for environment growth. · Three (3) to eight (8) years of related Enterprise Storage experience · Experience managing storage environments utilizing information management and storage business partner control center · Working knowledge of Navisphere and information management and storage business partner network attached storage management consoles · Experience in working with service level agreements, policies, and guidelines · Regular attendance and punctuality · Pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test · Symmetrix device management through the command line interface and information management and storage business partner control center, including but not limited to creation, mapping, masking and deletion. · Maintains business continuity through Symmetrix Timefinder, Symmetrix Remote Data Facility and Clariion Snapview · Fabric Zoning on Brocade and McData switches, routers and directors · Manages iSCSI devices utilizing clustered Brocade iSCSI Gateways · Capacity planning for a tiered storage infrastructure · Performs storage audits to maintain the highest efficiency level · Provides routine statistical metrics in regard to the storage environment · Establishes and maintains a high level of morale and collaboration in an environment of aggressive growth and change · Conducts knowledge transfer with the Storage Engineers -- Thanks & Regards, Naren Technical Recruiter Tiny Planet Inc Ph: 562*275*3541 Fax: 866 346 3741 [email protected] www.tinyplanetinc.com We respect your online privacy.
