* * *EMBEDDED SOFTWARE ENGINEER* *Location :San Diego area, CA* *Duration : 6 months * They must have 5-10 years of experience in C++, VxWorks, SNMP, and have worked on very large projects. Must be able to multi-task and work with little supervision. Software Contractor for the head-end product *Responsibilities:* - Develop network equipment embedded software with a MPEG digital video Application focus - Specify, design, implement and test - packet and video based software; - Integrate and debug new SW on sophisticated communication processor system; - Study functional and other specifications and participate in planning activities by providing decompositions and scheduling estimates; - Ability to work independently in a team environment with the rest of the software, hardware and test team - Develop bootloader for handset. - Software programming and testing and using C/C++ in Embedded domain, and /or developing intergration scripts (in perl or UNIX shell scripts. *Skills Required:* - Degree in electronics/electrical/computer engineering - 5-10 years of embedded software development experience using C/C++.
