Team Responsibilities:
- Production support (of backend systems) for all Rational applications
- Support and administer all systems running on production
- Install products, troubleshoot the system, perform backups
- Run reports on system up times, outages, optimization, etc.
- Support and maintain the backend systems running robust & complicated
applications
- Integrate products (applications) with backend systems (servers and
databases)
Responsibilities (Servers):
- Install applications on to of O/S (both Windows and Unix)
- Using Windows scripting and Unix commands to install applications on the O/S
- Create accounts
- Add users
- Install and configure applications
- Run reports
- Perform backups (automated & manual)
- Troubleshoot system problems
- Restore systems after outages
Responsibilities (Databases):
- Run reports
- Extract data
- Utilize SQL queries to extract information from SQL Server and DB2 databases
