Requirement Details: Job Title: Business System Analyst Job Type: 12 Months Location: Minneapolis, MN Job Responsibilities: With agreed to objectives and subject to frequent review by a Lead BSA, a Senior Level BSA is fully responsible for: Following AQMS (quality) standards and techniques. Estimating and planning business analyst work efforts. Gathering, analyzing, document and managing requirements. Creating and implementing test plans. Implementation, including Production check out, user and technical documentation and archiving project documentation. Senior BSAs may specialize in testing and or requirements.They will manage and maintain the business partner relationships for each assignment. Act as Point of Contact for the business partners. Job Requirement: Estimating and planning business analyst work efforts. Gathering, analyzing, document and managing requirements. Creating and implementing test plans. Implementation, including Production check out, user and technical documentation and archiving project documentation. Senior BSAs may specialize in testing and or requirements. Possess the ability to translate for the business or technology and to share expertise and mentor others. Ameriprise may require additional certifications for this role. These certifications may include (but not be limited to): AQMS, Six Sigma, and PMI. Must demonstrate abilities in the following areas: Standards & Techniques: Good working knowledge of AQMS standards and deliverables based on project path. Complete project work objects and deliverables. Compile and publish AQMS deliverables and facilitate walkthroughs. Has knowledge of Six Sigma methods and tools. Participates in AQMS reviewer pool for QA. Has knowledge to select appropriate analysis and testing techniques for each assignment. Has knowledge of the IT standards and strategy. Estimating: Estimate and plan BSA work efforts on a project. Analysis: Gathers, analyzes, documents and manages requirements on medium to large projects. Utilizes analysis tools and artifacts. Identifies issues and risks and develops strategies to resolve issues and mitigate risks. Assists with requirements and development meetings. Collaborates with Portfolio Architects to ensure alignment with requirements. Strategizes to resolve issues and mitigate risk. Trace Change Controls back to requirements. Monitors traceability on projects from requirements through design. Test: Coordinates testing. Provides input to and recommends testing solutions. Creates test schedule, status reporting, test approach, test plan, test cases, conditions and scripts. Ensures testing environment has sufficient test data. Executes system and integration test scripts. Coordinates UAT preparation and execution. Coordinates and validates results and output. Records errors and pursues issues and risks. Manages and facilitates PTR meetings. Reports test status and metrics. Implementation: Defines and monitors implementation tasks: Production check out review of reports, data files, on-line screens. Project Closure. Defines and monitors project closure documentation: Update of user & technical procedures/manuals, operational support documentation, archival of project documentation. Technical Tools: Microsoft Office, Process Max /Clarity, AQMS, TSO, PACBASE, Visio, DOORS, Provision, Mercury Test Director: Proven experience with these tools. Analysis Artifacts: Proven Experience completing: Requirements List, Non-Functional Requirements, Process Model, Use Cases, Data Journal, Business Rule Catalog, Wire Frames: Influence: Opportunities to influence: Uses own experience to maker informed decisions. Takes customer requirements into account when carrying out work. Minimum Required Experience 3+ Years in testing or requirements. Proficient in entry level BSA role Job Education, Experience & Certificate Required: Possess the ability to translate for the business or technology and to share expertise and mentor others. Review cross-commit teams (interfacing systems) detailed requirements, design, test plans, test cases and test results. Coordinate with testing team in writing OR write test plans, cases and scripts. Coordinate with testing team OR execute tests and track results. Create/update traceability between business, user and system requirements " "Strong requirements gathering expertise (from end-users and systems personnel) and ability to drive alignment around business use cases. Strong facilitation expertise to drive clarification of business, functional and technical requirements and use-cases. Strong test planning, test case writing and execution expertise - Good communicator and facilitator. Strong AQMS experience completing requiremens and testing templates. Demosntrated ability to drive results in an environment where structure is still being put in place. " Track record handson experience using HP/Mercury Quality Center to capture requirements, test plans, cases. Track record creating updating traceability between requirements, test cases etc. Track record working at insurance and annuities businesses. ***Prior BSA experience working with Ameriprise Insurance and Annuities systems and business. Track record hands on experience using HP Quality Center for requirements, traceability and test cases.*** ***Hours our MON-FRI 8-5 (Candidate must be flexible as project hours may vary), Saturdays MAY be required.
