The TennCare Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) runs on a Sun/Unix environment using Oracle as the RDBMS and a PowerBuilder front-end. A working knowledge of C programming is required. Candidates require experience in programming preferred with interchange sub-system environment. Position Description: Develops and installs programs to support general business applications running on Sun Solaris platform. Plans, designs, develops and tests software systems or applications for software enhancements and new products. Using current programming languages and technologies, writes code, completes programming, and performs testing and debugging of applications. Monitor and support production systems. Participation in on-call rotation will be required. Experience / Education: C programming experience including embedded SQL. SQL experience preferably in an Oracle environment. Good communications skills. Experience in a Sun Solaris environment. Ability to mentor and lead other analysts. Able to recommend and follow processes. Advanced degree and/or demonstrated business and technical experience required. Technical leadership. Software Development Life Cycle using industry recognized tool set. Demonstrated business experience. Healthcare MMIS experience preferred.
