Technical Skills Needed:

================

=> 5+ years of ASP.NET, .NET Framework 2.0 with VB.NET

=> Experience with VS2005 / VS2008

=> 5+ years of experience with SQL Server database design, stored procedures, 
triggers, and SSIS packages, including 3 years of SQL Server 2005.

=> 5 years of experience with HTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript, WebServices.

=> 1 year experience with SQL Server Reporting Services



Description of Work:

=============

1. Build ASP.NET pages for the Discharge Monitoring System according to 
specifications developed using our standards and coding practices. The 
Discharge Monitoring System is an existing internal web application that 
captures information about monitoring locations, limits, required monitoring in 
water quality permits and effluent discharge reported by wastewater treatment 
facilities.

a. Modify one ASP.NET page using an existing Visual Studio 2003 solution.

b. Create a new Visual Studio 2008 solution for several new ASP.Net pages

c. Create all stored procedures necessary to provide data to the ASP.Net pages

d. Create SSRS report(s) using stored procedures to provide data.

e. Make corrections to the ASP.Net pages and/or stored procedures as needed 
based on two rounds of user testing.

2. Create a SQLServer Integration Services (SSIS) package to migrate outfall 
information stored in a spreadsheet into the outfall tables in the Discharge 
Monitoring System.

3. Build ASP.NET pages that will allow the public to query and view effluent 
discharge information stored in the Discharge Monitoring System. The ASP.NET 
pages will be developed according to specifications developed by DEQ using DEQ 
standards and coding practices.

a. Create a new Visual Studio 2008 solution for several new ASP.Net pages

b. Create all stored procedures necessary to provide data to the ASP.Net pages.

c. Make corrections to the ASP.Net pages and/or stored procedures as needed 
based on user testing.

4. Complete tasks using the following skills: Develops, tests, and documents 
computer programs, applying knowledge of programming techniques and computer 
system. Converts project specifications, using flowcharts and diagrams, into 
sequence of detailed instructions and logical steps for coding into language 
processable by computer, applying knowledge of computer programming techniques 
and computer languages. Enters program codes into computer system. Enters 
commands into computer to run and test program. Reads computer printouts or 
observes display screen to detect syntax or logic errors during program test, 
or uses diagnostic software to detect errors. Replaces, deletes, or modifies 
codes to correct errors. Analyzes, reviews, and alters program to increase 
operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements. Recreates steps taken by 
user to locate source of problem and rewrites program to correct errors. May 
install and test program at user site.

5. Weekly assignments will be given and completion of assignments will be 
reviewed.
