The selected candidate responsibilities will include: • Installation, maintenance, and support of Sterling Commerce software application called Connect:Direct. • Perform software upgrades and ensure that installations are complete and working properly including developing accurate test plans for successful implementations. • Working with customers to schedule installations, maintenance, and upgrades. • Supporting Connect:Direct existing customer implementations as well as assisting in new implementation requests. • Working with the vendors to ensure the software is kept up to date and reporting any problems with the software to them. • Supporting customers with problems or questions that they may have with Z/OS File Transfer Protocol (FTP). Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements: Required: • Must have mainframe systems programming experience including extensive knowledge of TSO and JCL. - Include knowledge of and experience with customizing software applications for site requirements and customer’s needs. • Must have a thorough knowledge and understanding of software installation using the SMP/E environment.
