CLIENT IS PRIMARILY LOOKING AT HP SERVICE GUARDS, NPARS/VPARS, EMC EXPERTISE,BASIC DBA ACTIVTIES,UNIX ADMINISTRATION EXPERTISE *. *Requirements:* BSCS, BSCE, BSSoftE, or MSCS from an accredited college or university, plus a minimum of 3 years of IT Systems experience OR a minimum of 10 years of IT Systems experience. Extensive UNIX experience managing/installing/upgrading hardware and software on HP-UX HP9000 midrange and Superdome platforms with HP Serviceguard in a large production SAP environment. Storage experience in managing EMC DMX, Celerra NAS, Centera, NetApp NAS storage arrays. Additional skills in IP Networking. ITIL Process, and IT Security would be preferred. *Detailed Requirements:* Candidate MUST have at least 3 years experience managing and supporting: · HP-UX · HP 9000 Series hardware, including Superdome · LPARs and VPARs · SAP and Oracle · EMC Symmetrix Storage systems · EMC Timefinder · SANs utilizing Brocade Fibre Channel Switches · NetApp Filers · 24x7 Business critical systems as part of an oncall rotation · Managing the account management system Candidate MUST be proficient in these areas; · Scripting utilizing sh/bash, ksh, and perl · OS job control · OS Patching · Diagnosis of hardware issues and system component replacement procedures · Network analysis as related to the OS utilizing ifconfig and netstat · Proficiency in using LVM for disk management · DNS/sendmail · Backup/Restore Technologies · SAN/NAS Technologies · SOX Compliance · ITIL process chain · Communication, both oral and written · Windows Office – Word, Excel, Visio, Powerpoint · System cabling and utilizing serial consoles/KVMs Candidate will be REQUIRED to: · Be on call 24x7 on a rotating schedule to deal with off hours critical issues. · Work independently and within team settings. · Follow processes & procedures. · Interface with vendors (NGIT, Sun) as needed. · Assist with disaster recovery planning. · Manage IT hardware and software assets. · Monitor system availability. *John Mark* O: 646-340-5852 Alt.
