Position: Client-Side Web Developer Location:Stamford,CT Duration:2+ Months Rate:$40-42/hr all inclusive on CTC. Locals Preffered Overview Client-Side Web Developers produce standards-compliant HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Knowledge of Flash and other plug-ins is not required for this position. Developers base their output on wire-frames, functional specifications, and graphical comps provided by Global Online. Pre- existing HTML/CSS/JS templates and assets may be provided for use. Work produced is delivered to Global Online along with an index of assets created (e.g. HTML files, CSS files, JavaScript files, graphic files). A review/revise cycle follows delivery. Work can be performed offsite. Being available for conference and online communication during standard work hours is essential. Required Technical Knowledge • Semantic web development and basic Search Engine Optimization (SEO) • XHTML: standards-compliant • CSS: Well-structured and stored in external CSS files rather than delivered as inline styles. • JavaScript: Some light, User Interface(UI)-based JavaScript work is required. Knowledge of the prototype.js library is helpful. JavaScript should be stored in external JS files • Adobe Photoshop: When provided PhotoShop Documents, developers should be able to produce the sliced, web-optimized images required for a given project. Creative graphical work is not required. • FTP: Developers must be able to use FTP to receive and deliver files.
