Recommends/makes improvements/fixes to the tested system Assists in developing and interpreting requirements. Qualifications: 3-5 years' experience with Linux 5+ years' experience in the IT industry working in the area of product and/or application development 3+ years as senior Java or J2EE developer, preferably on one or more large systems deployed and used in production Strong knowledge in each of the following: Java J2EE technologies Java Servlets JMS JDBC jQuery CSS DHTML AJAX and ANT Good working knowledge of OO design concepts and design patterns Good working knowledge in a portal environment and familiar with JSR 168 and JCR 170 Strong knowledge and experience in team development using Java Good working knowledge of software testing and building high quality software Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and deliver production quality software within tight schedules Good verbal and written communication skills with proven track record of producing and reviewing use cases, providing estimates, and organizing tasks Experience with software testing tools, regression testing, performance testing, a plus Experience with Open-Source Technologies, a plus (e.g.,: Hibernate, Jakarta Commons, Spring Framework, JUnit, Eclipse, IntelliJ, JMX).
