Summary: The Senior Inventory Analyst will lead the effort of
analyzing inventory data and trends with in JD Edwards and the 3rd
party Warehouse Management Systems. This person will partner with the
logistics and the planning teams to ensure best practices for
maintaining the accuracy of financial and physical inventories. They
will focus on reducing corporate inventory while maintaining the
current customer service level. They will maintain relationships
between business partners affecting and affected by inventory
transactions.  Create ad-hoc reports as necessary to analyze inventory
levels as well as complex business issues.

60% of this position will involve analyzing inventory data to ensure
optimal deployment of inventory and to set/refine the planning master
data settings.
20% involves Inventory Process Improvements and Cost Reduction efforts
20% involves Research and Reporting

Key Job Responsibilities:

1.      Warehousing / Inventory Management

Lead effort to develop inventory strategies, including safety stock
and order quantity settings throughout the entire logistics network.
Suggest and implement improvement opportunities and provide ad-hoc
research into available options as requested.
Identify and perform in-depth inventory analysis to be able to make
recommendations for potential excess and obsolete inventory
disposition, by Customer, upon request.
Understand and have a high competency to perform ABC stratification
for the logistics and the planning teams.
Track and analyze inventory activity, including development of a
robust process for monitoring the entire inventory at each location,
ensuring data integrity within JD Edwards and WMS’s.
Be actively involved in the daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly
activities of the 3PL’s and ensure that daily inventory levels are
within a 99% system to system accuracy.
Full responsibility for timely reconciliation of all stock transfers
and receipts to include co-packers, co-manufacturers, SL Warehouse and
3rd Party Warehouses.
Monitor FIFO movement and identify aging/excess inventory.  Work with
Sales and Production to address root cause and take appropriate
corrective action.
Provide vendor performance, financial and systems analysis as required
by the Logistics Supervisor.
File and follow up on warehouse loss and damage claims.
Ensure that all the master data within JDE is accurate and transfers
correctly to the 3 PL’s.


2.      Overall

Work directly with other departments (Co-packing, Planning,
Accounting, Sales, Marketing, Production) to improve cross-functional
business processes and to resolve recurring problems.
Participate in Logistics departmental meetings and the accomplishment
of departmental goals.
Perform ad hoc analyses as requested by management.
Cross train and perform back up duties for other department personnel
when they are sick, on FTO or to help with unusually heavy workloads.
Insure data integrity across all system modules.
