Title: Software Quality/Automation Engineer Location: Hillsboro, OR Contract Duration: 3 - 6 months Years of Experience & Expertise Level: You should possess a Bachelor of Science degree with more than four years or a Master of Science degree with more than two years experience in software quality assurance with a substantial background in test automation and debugging. Project Description: Our client is looking for a highly motivated, self-directed, and professional Senior Software QA and Automation Engineer. In this position, you will be ensuring the quality of our client's consumer desktop and mobile PC software. Daily Responsibilities: - Writing test plans and test cases - Analyzing software requirements and designs, and providing feedback on their testability - Defining and developing test tools and test automation primarily using C# - Executing tests, debugging issues, reporting results - Expected to work with limited direction Necessary Skills : - Very good problem solving skills, ability to analyze and debug issues - Experience in debugging tools/techniques - Positive attitude and ability to react quickly to change - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Experience automating tests using C# or C++ on Windows Vista PCs - Experience ensuring the quality of consumer-facing software Additional Skills Desired : - Experience using classification trees and equivalence partitioning to efficiently cover a large number of configuration variables - Familiarity with the consumer PC market, both desktop and mobile - Software Security evaluation Thanks !!
