Project Description:

The Web Marketing Analytics Analyst provides analysis and reporting that 
informs and improves the effectiveness of the planning, execution and 
optimization of marketing strategy and online programs. The position requires 
close coordination with online technology, user experience, creative, marketing 
to effectively implement and optimize the web analytics across all of our 
client's online properties using Omniture web analytics suite. Your primary 
goal will be to produce analytics via automated reports, data warehouses, 3rd 
party tracking tools, and custom applications to help drive strategic business 
and product decisions and monitor progress for key projects. You will be 
responsible for the implementation and maintenance of tracking code through web 
properties, and the development of new analytics tools to help drive growth and 
improvement in reporting capabilities.



Daily Responsibilities:

- Responsible for analyzing key performance metrics using Omniture reports

- Understand how analytics tracking in Web pages and Flash applications 
throughout site to correctly capture Omniture variables, properties, events, 
and filters.

- Stay current with Omniture product developments; advise management team of 
new implementation or data collection opportunities.

- Work closely with product owners and technical staff to develop optimized 
tracking and automated reporting for Web applications.

- Consistently analyze and investigate new reporting capabilities for the 
websites.

- Coordinate with various internal business/user groups to determine, analyze 
and identify process improvements on the site, new product initiatives, 
customer behavioral tests such as A/B testing, etc.

- Identify proactively opportunities to improve user experience and site 
effectiveness.

- Work with client and internal stakeholders to understand business 
requirements in order to design and develop reporting and analysis approaches 
tailored to the needs of our business partners

- Identify marketing opportunities through customer segmentation methodology

- Nice to have: Work with a wide range of statistical modeling methodologies 
and build statistical models for behavioral predictions



Necessary Skills (Must Have):

- 5-7+ years of industry experience

- Expert knowledge of HTML/XHTML,CSS, JavaScript, XML, etc. and strong 
understanding of benefits and constraints of current Internet technologies

- 4+ years using enterprise Web analytics software, with 2+ years using 
Omniture SiteCatalyst or equivalent experience with similar analytics platform

- 1-2 years experience using Analytics APIs (Omniture, Hitbox) to produce 
custom Web applications

- 4+ year's hands-on Web development experience in a professional environment.

- 2 years experience implementing tracking for Flash, Flex, AJAX applications 
Must have expert knowledge using Omniture or other web analytic measurement 
tool (3-5 years)

- Must be able to translate business goals into functional strategies

- 2+ years creating custom dashboards and automated email reports using 
SiteCatalyst, or with similar analytics platform

- Must possess strong communication and presentation skills and be proficient 
in spreadsheet applications

- 2-3 years Databases / SQL querying and programming a plus

- Strong quantitative, analytical and problem solving skills

- Demonstrated use of statistical modeling

- Experience with multivariate testing
