A Background Client is seeking a competitive bid for a seasoned Software Development consultant. This person will function as part of the Bioinformatics department to implement software tools that further the research mission of the organization. The candidate will work with a team to implement a web-based data entry solution to collect and disseminate research data. B. Project Objectives Project: FormsNet™ The objective of the FormsNet project is to provide a stable, user-friendly interface for Transplant and Donor Centers, Clinical trial sites, other external collaborators and in-house data entry staff to data enter transplant outcomes forms. FormsNet provides data validation, notification, reporting, imaging and auditing functionality. Responsibilities for this position on this project include: . · Implement new functionality and enhancements to the business and presentation layers of a web-based clinical data entry system · Work in a team oriented atmosphere that requires a high amount of interaction with other developers, business analyst, quality assurance and management staff. · Code and test program changes, enhancements, and new features as required. · Perform code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to standards. · Maintain communications with clients to ensure systems meet requirements. Requires advanced written and oral communication skills. · Prepare appropriate documentation for all program modifications and new development. · Provide timely and up-to-date status of assigned tasks. C. Technical Requirements Advanced skills in ASP.Net, VB, C#, object oriented programming and working on large scale, complex software applications. Advanced knowledge of Crystal Reports 2008, SQL Server 2005, Visual Studio 2005 and Visual Source Safe. Experience with Visual Studio 2008 and LINQ a plus. Familiarity working in a healthcare or biology setting a plus, but not necessary. Experience working with clinical trials data management preferred.
