Yes, that's the intended perception. It would be even better if it
were also the technical reality.

There was a lot of back and forth on this idea in the past, but I'm in
favor of showing all pre-installed activities in the Journal, myself.
In the future, if we have the proposed action/object views of the
Journal, the differentiator here would be that pre-installed
activities only appear as objects, since they weren't installed via
interaction with the device on the part of the user. (Of course,
installing updates, modifying them, etc, would all appear in the
action view.)

Yeah, in a sense that's what we envisioned Home to be right now. I see
your point though, if currently some activities don't appear in the
Journal. Cleaning that up would be great.
