I apologize for not following this thread too closely, but FWIW, the use-cases I have heard most often from the US-school perspective is a simple way for a teacher to assign work groups and class-room-based groupings. If all of this can be managed through a single jabber server, all the better as it simplifies the backend support issue. So while the UI looks like it is moving in a great direction, if the backend can remain simple in terms of any ejabber configuraton, that would be all the better.
