I already open a ticket in dev.laptop.org and they just told me that it sounds like a libertas driver bug that was fixed inbetween 2.6.25 and 2.6.30.
They also asked me to do the same that you suggested: trying with F11 for XO 1.0. I will try that and let you know the results.
