Hi folks,
I'm in the process of writing a python script that will start up 4
instances of Sugar in UML instances on a virtual network (probably
TUN/TAP), right out of one's jhbuild tree. The idea here is to make it
really easy to test the collaboration/sharing, etc. facilities of Sugar
and the activities without needing multiple computers. I was inspired by
Openswan's similar facility for testing.
However, is there a way to specify an arbitrary X11 DISPLAY environment
variable or some such to start Sugar on, rather than having the
emulation scripts pop open a Xephyr automatically?
I don't suppose I'm lucky today, or will I just have to hack it?
ps. I'm resending this because it looks like my mailserver ate it. I
apologise for any dupes.
Hi,
you probably want to do something similar to what we do in the .xinitrc
on the images. (i.e. run dbus, matchbox and sugar-shell).
