I am using it daily to write web pages. It writes clean pages, without a
lot of "noise" in them, as some word processors do when saving as .html.

It is Open Source and proports to be "a WYSIWYG editor that is also a
browser". It's called Amaya http://www.w3.org/Amaya/ The users manual
indicates lots of features ....
I haven't tried it yet, but someone on this list might have done so and
will have opinions relative to OLPC.
