Interesting thing that I noticed is that building hippo in jhbuild updates the source directory every time ... but hippo.so is present in /usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/ which has nothing to do with the build path of jhbuild :-/ and removing hippo.so from that path returns the error "module hippo not found" when importing in python .. > > Still I would like to understand what is going on.
