I'm certainly open to new algorithms if you think you can make something work better. On the other hand, I think that it would be nice to use the same code/algo for the various views. The demo, I feel, illustrates that the algo actually works fairly well for the purpose intended, including the ability to enlarge and shrink the nodes over time.
What algorithm do you propose? Could you work up a demo to show its effectiveness? - Eben On Sat, Jun 14, 2008 at 4:30 PM, Tomeu Vizoso <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Hi, > > as you know, the new design for the home view calls for a method for > resolving collisions, similar to the one in the neighborhood view. > > Have checked SpreadLayout, but seems like it doesn't try very hard to > resolve collisions. > > Should I try to fix SpreadLayout or can I go with my own algorithm? > > Thanks, > > Tomeu > _______________________________________________ Sugar mailing list [email protected] http://lists.laptop.org/listinfo/sugar
