The ogr driver would be a very elegant solution, although I couldn't find any url where it (or the sourcecode) could be obtained. - Is there such a thing? In the thesis document, the section on the source code specifics seems to be missing, so I guess it is closed source. the other way seems a bit of a hack, geo-referencing that exported image might require black arts involvement too. so I guess a bit of scripting is the way to go. best, Gerald.
