Dear SUMO-Users,
we are glad to announce the next SUMO User Conference. Please find the Call for Papers below. We hope to see you at the conference, Yun-Pang, Melanie, Jakob, Robert, Michael and Laura *SUMO User Conference 2016 - Traffic, Mobility, and Logistics (24. + 25. May 2016)* *Introduction* Traffic simulations are of immense importance for researchers as well as practitioners in the field of transportation. SUMO has been available since 2001 and provides a wide range of traffic planning and simulation applications. SUMO consists of a suite of tools covering road network imports and enrichment, demand generation and assignment and a state-of-the-art microscopic traffic simulation capable to simulate private and public transport modes, as well as person-based trip chains. Being open source, SUMO is ready to implement new behavioral models or to control the simulation remotely using various programming environments. These and other features make SUMO one of the most often used open source traffic simulations with a large and international user community. *Call for Papers* The conference aims on presenting new and unique results in the field of mobility simulation and modelling using openly available tools and data. We expect a large variety of research topics and usage approaches. If you are doing a research project fitting the topics below you are kindly invited to submit an abstract. Possible areas of interest include (but are not limited to): · Traffic Simulation · Logistics Simulation · Mobility Modelling · Intermodal Transport · Traffic Applications · Traffic Management Solutions · Vehicular Communication · Modelling Urban Mobility · Open Tools and Open Data · E-Mobility · Autonomous Driving Authors are requested to register at Easy Chair https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=sumo2016 and submit the title of the paper and an abstract of 200 words (highly recommended, but not mandatory) or a topic for posters in English no later than Friday, *15th of January 2016.* All accepted papers will be printed and published in the SUMO proceedings in the scientific series of the DLR Institute of Transportation Systems. *Deadline* The full paper versions of papers must be submitted in Word and PDF format before midnight, *Friday, 26th of February 2016*. Submitters will receive feedback by *Friday, 1st of April 2016*. The final papers should be between 5 and 20 pages long. *Language* The conference language is English. *Prices* · Regular Tickets – 400 EUR (One-Day-Ticket – 250 EUR) · Authors and Project Partners – 250 EUR · "limited" Student Grants - 50 EUR The registration fee includes a two day conference program with refreshments, lunch, proceedings and social events in the evening.
