Hello, - if an edge has more than 1 lane, vehicles with different desired speeds will overtake each other (see http://sumo.dlr.de/wiki/Definition_of_Vehicles,_Vehicle_Types,_and_Routes#Speed_Distributions - if you want overtaking through the opposite-direction lane, see http://sumo.dlr.de/wiki/Simulation/OppositeDirectionDriving regards, Jakob
