Hello
In a running sumo-gui simulation you can click the little green car button
at the bottom of the window.
This will open up a dialog with the following values (and more)
- number of nodes and edges in the network
- total length of edges and lanes in the network (dividing the second value
by the first gives a rough approximation of the avg number of lanes)
- the average absolute vehicle speed
- the average vehicle speed, relative to road speed (lvl of service)
To get the total area you can move your mouse to the upper right corner and
multiply the x and y values shown in the lower right corner of the screen
to give m^2 (to bottom left of the network is at ~0,0)

regards,
Jakob
