I still follow the advice given in the Wiki
<https://sumo.dlr.de/wiki/FAQ#Building_videos_from_SUMO-GUI> to capture
screenshots for every time step and then glue them together in a video
editing software. If you don't mind the strange interface, Blender
<https://www.blender.org/> is a good open source choice for that. Just add
all images at once to create a strip and render it.
