Hello,
the calibrator is used to calibrating traffic flow of a base demand
scenario by using local flow measurements. As such it is unsuited to
calibrating a car-following model. Also, the calibrator is working on a
rather 'macroscopic' level. Because it is only configured with a flow
value, the insertion patterns it uses (vehicle time gaps) may not match
reality.

Instead, you should build a demand scenario that matches with a known
traffic flow at one location, ideally on a single-vehicle basis.
Then calibrate your model so that the downstream flow best matches the
real-world observations at a second measurement location.

regards,
Jakob
