We will try to fix that, in the meantime you could try building
manually.
To do so follow the instructions here:
https://sumo.dlr.de/docs/Installing/Linux_Build.html
but use an additional options when calling cmake, like this:
cmake -D CMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Release ../..
