For vehicles and walks, the duration includes any delays and time spent waiting while underway but *not* the departDelay. For a riding stage, duration only measures the time spent in the vehicle. The documentation at https://sumo.dlr.de/docs/Simulation/Output/TripInfo.html#person_and_container_output has been updated to reflect this.
