E2 detectors work on consecutive lanes only, as mentioned in the netedit GUI ("Consecutive path generator"). If you want to track a set of neighbour and/or consecutive lanes, please look into theE3 detector <https://sumo.dlr.de/docs/Simulation/Output/Multi-Entry-Exit_Detectors_%28E3%29.html> (multi-entry/multi-exit).

Hi everyone,

I want to track 2-3 lanes together using E2 Multilane detectors. However, I don't really understand how to set it. Whenever I click a lane (green, with circle), then I want to select the neighboring lane (the one below it, with circle)

it keeps saying "Warning: invalid lane". So they can't be selected together.

Could someone please give me a hint on how to use this detector?

Thanks a lot
