Hi Florian,
just to be sure: You used SUMO v1.18 in both cases? If not: Recently we
discovered a bug <https://github.com/eclipse/sumo/issues/13561> which would
cause SUMO to slow down under Windows due to the localisation overhead.
This bug depends on the scenarios and how often a specific code part is
called.
Otherwise it will be difficult for us to diagnose as our IT systems are
managed and thus have completed the update as well. But we will think about
how to prevent such things to go unnoticed.
Best regards
Mirko

Betreff: [sumo-user] Simulation Time after Windows update

Hello all,
I suspect that sumo is slower after an update to windows 22H2.
I have run simulations with the HBEFA model before and after the update.
Before that the simulation time was:
1. 616 s
2. 539 s
3. 3201 s
4. 3306 s
After the update:
1. 827 s
2. 739 s
3. 4406 s
4. 4506 s
1-4 are different traffic conditions
The remaining settings and conditions were all the same. Sumo version 1.18
Is there any way to get back to the old simulation durations?
A restore to Windows 21H2 is unfortunately not possible.
Many thanks in advance!
Best regards
Florian
