In our docs
<https://sumo.dlr.de/docs/Netedit/index.html#processing_menu_options> it is
mentioned that "compute junctions" is triggered as well by the traffic
light mode. But yes, you should do it some way.

After doing compute junctions, the bidi checkbox was configurable and set.
Do I need to always do compute junctions? The junctions in the view already
looked like their correct shape (they changed when entering the traffic
light mode).

    Hi Tiago,

    did you execute "Compute Junctions" (in the top menu at "Processing>
    Compute Junctions" or key [F5])? Can you check the state of the bidi
    flag after doing this?

    Hello again,

    I managed to do this about a week ago. I made the roads bidirectional,
    however when I opened the file again today, that checkbox was no longer
    checked. As far as I can tell the net still works the same as the edges
    are overlapped, but I can't check the bidi flag anymore.

        Here are the instructions I recently posted for a similar question:
            * create an edge
            * select it and choose "add reverse direction" from the context
              menu
            * set spreadType for both to "center"
            * adapt the shape coordinates of one of them to match the shape
              of the other
            * activate "bidi" checkbox

        Hi,

        How do I make edges overlap? If I try to create edges in netedit,
        it only lets me make edges that are in opposite directions between
        junctions/nodes. It places those edges side-by-side.

            Hi Tiago,

            bidirectional edges are an extreme case of the "opposite
            direction driving
            <https://sumo.dlr.de/docs/Simulation/OppositeDirectionDriving.html>
            " feature. You need to have a one-lane edge per direction and
            make them overlap exactly (same end nodes and same geometry).
            Only then you can mark it as birectional.

            Best regards

            Hi,

            I would like to model a situation where there is a bidi edge
            that is gated by two traffic lights on opposite ends. I believe
            the documentation states that it is only possible to have bidi
            on railways, but this issue on
            <https://github.com/eclipse-sumo/sumo/issues/13541> ,  suggests
            otherwise. As of right now, I'm using two edges and manually
            gating access to those sections of road, but ultimately I would
            prefer to represent that section more accurately.
