A source is a detector which has no further upstream detectors and a sink has no further downstream detectors, there is an additional --strict-sources option which implies stronger cycle detection in this process but should result in the detection of even less sources. All the other detectors are still important for the route determination. If you still think dfrouter is doing wrong please post your scenario.
