Hello,
commonly these terms are used interchangably to mean the graph element that
connects a graphs nodes. However, in SUMO parlance we distinguish
- the junction-graph where graph nodes are junctions (intersections) and
the graphs edges are the streets between them (referred to by us as edges).
- the lane-graph where the graphs nodes are the lanes of a streets and the
graphs edges  are the connections between lanes (referred to by us as
links).
