Hello,

there are several problems with your command

- attribute departLane is misspelled

- the distribution 'typedist1' is not referenced

try "./randomTrips.py -n (filename).net.xml -v -t='departLane="free"
type="typedist1" ' -a speed_types.add.xml -r (filename).rou.xml "
