to answer my own question,…

Since yesterday I’ve come across the “Bologna Scenarios” which are

quite nice to get in touch with “realistic” real-world-traffic-simulations.

Thanks very much to Pasubio, Andrea Costa and the DLR for 

Sharing this impressive piece of simulation.

I would like to simulate a part of my home-town with as realistic ‘random’
traffic as possible.

May I ask you for some starting point to get in touch with that?

 

I know that I can import OSM-Maps,… the question is more about the traffic
generation.
