You cannot, I was referring to the options you give to the sumo-gui call
which often takes place inside the same script which does the TraCI
interaction (look for subprocess calls near the end of the traci tls
tutorial).

The test client is only for testing purposes (who would have guessed
that ;-)) and should not be used for doing real TraCI applications.
