I rectified the problem in my simulation scenario

In my road network, I disallow certain category of vehicles on specific
lanes.

While rerouting the vehicles, these constraints did not permit vehicles to
move to subsequent edge due to absence of connection from source lane to
the target lane

And as vehicle teleporting was disabled, the vehicles stayed stuck and did
not leave the simulation

I tried disabling the constraints (allowed all types of vehicles on all the
lanes) and simulation ran normally
