Hi, there is some inherent conflict (at least in the curretn implementation) between keeping the simulation open in the GUI after the final step to allow for further inspection (which means also some files are not closed and maybe not even completely written due to buffering) and a safe and complete close, see http://sumo.dlr.de/trac.wsgi/ticket/951. Currently the best way is to close the GUI after the simulation has ended.
