1. Are the commands below different, even though the time interval is 3 days? From the log file generated, I find these two commands have different meaning, is it?
$ activitygen --duration-d 3 ... $ activitygen -b 0 -e 259200 ... -> yes. -e is the end time on the last day whereas daily patterns are repeated based on the --duration-d option 2. What is the difference between vehicle id="carIn268:1" and id="carIn268:12"? Are they from the same vehicle carIn268 but have different trips? Or they are from the same neighborhood carIn268 but the driver is from different user? -> From a cursory look at the code I think it's repeated trips by the same driver. 3. Assume I am using activitygen --duration-d 3 to generate 3 days traffic, does the result include the following case? If there is a person driving back and forth between his home and office every day, could I get his routing information? Assume he has two trips within a day(home<->office), does the log record his routing information? -> I think a new <vehicle> definition is generated for each of these trips with the same id suffix (part before the ':') Check here for getting a record of the routing information: http://sumo.dlr.de/wiki/Simulation/Output/VehRoutes regards, Jakob > 2015-08-07 1:42 GMT-05:00 Jakob Erdmann <[email protected]>: > >> Hello, >> to improve the realism of your traffic you need additional knowledge or >> data. >> SUMO supports importing traffic data from a variety of sources: >> http://sumo.dlr.de/wiki/SUMO_User_Documentation#Data_sources_for_demand_generation >> >> regards, >> Jakob >> >> 2015-08-04 1:56 GMT+02:00 Chang-Wu Chen <[email protected]>: >> >>> Hello, >>> >>> Assume I want to observe the traffic at particular area for one week, >>> how can I do? >>> >>> I know I can use my own customized traffic generator to build rou.xml, >>> and repeat the processes for one week. >>> >>> First, for most people, they have fixed routing path, like from home to >>> office , and they do not drive on the road whole day.
