Greetings. I am new to SUMO. I would like to know if a succession of extremely short links (i.e. road sections) could cause any problems in SUMO. We have a highway network file in the GIS shapefile format, in which there are many short links (shorter than one meter each) and some of them are connected with each other in sequence.
According to the literature, some simulation packages can crash in this case and the others can have compromised results. How does SUMO handle this situation? Are the results still reliable? Thanks.
