Hello, Tom

Is there any guide to start from the zero?

I will start over, should I uninstall everything or just try to do the same
steps in order?

I’m not sure what you have done, so can not give a recommendation on how to
unwind it and start over.

I highly recommend using the MacPorts installation, which is trivial, and since
you will want MacPorts for other useful tools on your Mac.

Did you try to look up MacPorts and get that started? Once it is installed,
then you should be able to do the following command:

sudo port install sumo

and have SUMO available. Be aware that since there are a large number of
scripts I’ve pre-pended a “sumo-“ to many of those names. So if you are looking
for a program and not finding it try looking for the same or similar program
with a sumo- in front. Also, minor programs which in the tarball build might
have camelcase names and possibly a trailing “.py” have neither in the MacPorts
installation.

The port installation output mentions a Mac-specific README which should
mention these points.

SUMO-0.26.0 (the latest release) is available in MacPorts. You might want to
try that.

If you want to install from source, then instructions are available in the SUMO
tarball.

Let us know what specifically is not working and we’ll be able to help you out.
