If the vehicles do not stay within the simulation long enough, check
whether the routes in cars.rou.xml are increased in accordance with the
--intermediate option. If they are too short, it may be a case of this bug:
http://sumo.dlr.de/trac.wsgi/ticket/2271
Either get the development version of sumo [
http://sumo.dlr.de/daily/sumo-msvc12x64-svn.zip]
or wait a few days for the release of 0.27.0 where this is fixed as well.
