Greetings SUMO community,
Background: I have installed all the needed dependencies to develop extra modules for SUMO. In Linux Ubuntu 14.04 I have installed all needed dependencies and for programming I have acquired Eclipse IDE. While running the tests and browsing the code I have generated one important question for myself. What is the best way to develop new features for SUMO? Related sub-question, what is the best practice? I need to do some UI tweaking and wondering how to visually conduct myself that I made it perfectly? Do I create some sort of a test, which runs the SUMO-GUI with some custom map import and then I visually can conduct that my added extension is there? I have examined the development guidelines listed in SUMO-wiki. But I am open for general development pointers. :) Thank you for your replies.
