Hi Hannah,
first of all: Is it just for the optics or do you wish for a different
behavior? Because most of the time the shape and even the width of the
lane do not have too much influence on the vehicle behavior.

Second: you cannot define a separate lane shape. You could try to modify
the shape of the junction where it changes from 2 to 3 lanes, though.
You can easily do this with netedit.

Having a separate edge for each lane will disable lane changing
completely and is in general not a good idea because it may mess up the
junctions as well.
