Hello,
in order to work without the option --shapefile.use-defaults-on-failure the
following values must be defined with a positive value
- 'nolanes' or 'NOLANES' (to declare the number of lanes)
- 'speed' or 'SPEED' (to declare the speed limit)

The long time taken to compute the node shape could either indicate a very
unusual network topology or a bug in netconvert.
If you send me the shapefile I can check which one it is.

regards,
Jakob
