Hello,
For online-coupling you may use TraCI with the command
traci.vehicle.getPosition() which returns x,y map coordinates and can be
converted to lon,lat with traci.simulation.convertGeo(). The client may run
on a different computer than the SUMO  simulation (server).

For offline-coupling, there are xml output files that contain this data
which can be activated via options.
