Hello, this is impossible to say in general because it depends on - the locality (i.e. Shanghai rush hour differs from Berlin rush hour) - the mismatch between random trip locations and realistic trip locations
Your best choice would be to compare traffic flows and speeds to real world data. The second best choice is to test different arrival rates and compare the resulting trip statistics ( http://sumo.dlr.de/wiki/Simulation/Output#Aggregated_Traffic_Measures) for changes in average waiting time and depart delay. These value increases sharply once the network reaches its capacity limit. regards, Jakob 2017-06-27 11:59 GMT+02:00 frenki malolli <[email protected]>: > Hello, > > > I am trying to make my road traffic more congested by changing the arrival > rate, but I would like to know how does the value of the arrival rate > change the traffic in comparison to real world traffic?
