asked me to submit the following announcement:
Hello All,
Well we finally installed the Sundial Cupola on Sunday. With a lot
of help from my friends, using a wonderful lifting devise called a
"Genie Lift" we hoisted the component parts onto the roof of my house
and assembled them so that the cupola is aligned with the front door.
I don't know anything about Fung Shue, but I think it looks good
there.
It took five hours assemble, but we made a party out of it and we all
had lots of fun. The neighbors love it and it's been fun watching
the joggers and pedestrians stop to see it. You see them stare at it
trying to figure out what it is. Then it dawns on them that it is a
sundial because we see them checking their watches. (But since the
Equation of time is rather large this time of year, they probably
think it is a little off, but it isn't.) And the local newspaper sent
a photographer too!
Dave Bell has kindly updated the Sundial Cupola, Towers & Turrets
website with new photos showing the complete installation process.
There you will find photo links to the best new photos. But most of
