Hello Sundial List:
I just received a copy of Mike Cowham's Book: 'SUNDIALS of the BRITISH ISLES'.
I am so impressed. It is the most beautiful sundial book I have ever
seen. Mike is a very good photographer and the color photos are
stunning. He's a good writer too. He had me hooked with the cover
which has a great photograph of the Sundial Tower in Cambridge. I
urge everyone to get a copy before they run out. It will make a
wonderful coffee table book for dialists and nondialists, since it's
not too technical, and focuses on the history and beauty of sundials.
The chapter on stained glass sundials is superb and contains much
history that I was not aware of.
